40s -Short 40- Mens olive drab nylon taffeta US Army WWII era issue raincoat trench coat with below the knee cut, square hemline, double breasted styling with six buttons, lower angled inset pockets, waist self belt and buckle, epaulets, buttoned sleeve straps, back pleated vent with button closure, and wide deeply notched collar, the only example of this particular style of military wear we have seen in 40+ years of vintage collecting (intact and little used, but a few scattered faint very small light spots). Label reads 40 but measures to fit a 42 to 45 chest enough ease to be worn over a suit, or 44 to 46 over a shirt or light sweater (measures 26 inches from pit to pit across chest). 44.5 inches long.
