70s -Anthony Gasbarri (designer of the stars)- Mens tropical teal rayon velvet Celebrity style fancy suit. The jacket has braided trim on the slit cuffs, on the extended collar and on the inset lower pockets, single button closure and silky lining. The pants have braided trim on the front of the waistband and on the extended button and hook tab closure as well as down the outer leg seams. Hollywood waist in back with slit and inner buttons for optional suspenders, top entry front pockets and an inset back pocket, zip fly closure. Gasbarri opened his business in Hollywood in 1961 after a few years working on Rodeo Drive for tailor Albert Mariani. His suits sold for $2,000 and up. -I feel like Cary Grant in Gasbarris suits- actor David Starzyk told The Times. Gasbarris customers included Guy Williams, Red Skelton and Aldo Ray. His favorite client was Kirk Douglas. The braided trim on one leg has an approx 10 inch long area where some of the thread is missing. Small 1 inch repair on back pocket seam. Some loose stitching under one armpit seam. Pants could be let out another 1 3/4 inches.
