"Sized to the wearer"

consistent, easy to understand sizing

All of our clothing sizes are "sized to the wearer". If your bust measures 36 inches, an item listed as "36Bust" will fit you. We take into account the garment cut & how it is worn to ensure a good fit with slight room for ease.

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. You may return any item within 15 days of receipt for a full refund of the item price (shipping not refundable).

If you have any questions regarding sizing, please email Rob at rob@rustyzipper.com

How to measure yourself

Pants Length (also refered to as Inseam)

Measure a pair of pants that fit you well. Measure from the crotch seam to the hem (following the inside seam of the leg).

Pants Waist

Measure your waist using a fabric tape measure. You can also measure a pair of pants that fit well. Measure across the waistband (taut but not stretched). Double that measurement to get your waist size.

Chest or Bust

With your arms straight out from your sides, use a fabric tape measure the fullest part of your chest all the way around, just under your arms.

Alternately, you can measure a fitted dress shirt to get your chest size. To do this, lay your shirt flat and measure straight across the chest about 1 inch below the armpit seam. Deduct an inch for ease, then double that measurement. If you are using a loose fitting shirt like a Hawaiian shirt, deduct 1.5 inches for ease before doubling.

Sleeve Length

With your arm at a 45 degree angle, measure from the back of the nape of your neck to your wrist.

Alternately you can measure a dress shirt using this same method. With the shirt laying flat and the sleeve at a 45 degree angle, measure from the center of the shirt label to the cuff.

Hip

Measure the fullest part of your hip (usually about 9 inches below your waist) using a fabric tape measure.

Alternately, you can measure the hip of a pair of pants that fit you well. Lay them flat, measure straight across the pants about 9 inches below the waist or where your hip sits on the pants. Double that measurement to get your approximate hip size.
