1970's Alexis Dress
70s to early 80s -Alexis- Womens aqua, silky polyester, three quarter sleeve dress, having a tiny floral, all over, lavender, blue, and white, pattern. Sleeves end just below the elbow, gather into a 1.25in wide cuff and are fastened by a fabric covered button. Matching dual buttons close the back collar and the 4.0in faced slit, below the fold over white collar and bow. Elastic shapes the waist, with side thread carriers holding the vinyl backed, 1.50in wide, fabric covered belt, which has a couple of breaks in the vinyl, but does not show on the outer fabric. A pleat extends over the tightly gathered sleeve cap and fabric covered, hand tacked in, pads, add shoulder shaping. Pleats extend from the waist seam, adding design interest. This garment measures 44.5in from shoulder to hem.
