1940's Simplicity Pattern No. 1738 Womens/Girls Pattern
40s -Simplicity Pattern No. 1738- Womens one-piece dress with detachable peplum. The bodice is darted at the front underarm, front and back waistline, and joins the gathered skirt at the natural waistline. The keyhole neck-line is fastened with a bow. The cuffs are formed from a turn-back facing. In style 1 a detachable peplum circles the waist and the front ends are turned back. The facings of the peplum and cuffs are made in contrast. In style 2 a wide purchased belt is used and the skirt has contrast. The envelope is tattered on both ends.
