1970's Dress Suit
70s - Koret/Vogue Home Sewn- Womens longsleeve dress and matching jacket, using purple with a white hounds-tooth pattern and the bodice section in a lavender grey silky synthetic fabric. The round neckline has a fold over collar, with long extensions, which may be fastened in a variety of ways. Buttons close the front, to the dropped waist seam line. Smaller matching ones fasten each of the 1.25in wide cuffs, with the fabric gathering into them and also gathered along the upper armhole. The jacket has a wide fold over collar and short high lapels. Hooks fasten the front and French darts shape the bodice. Rounded corner patch pockets detail the lower front, with a 1.50in wide belt extending from the side front seam. An ivory slip through buckle fastens the belt, with matching color buttons detailing each pocket and the 2.50in sleeve cuffs. A circle on a square adds eye interest to the button as does the faux frog on each cuff. This A-line garment measures 37in from shoulder to hem.
