1940's Fab Forties Cocktail Dress
40s -No Label- Womens rose pink, acetate, floor length, dancing dress, with the skirt gently gathering to the raised waist seam. The lower edge flows to a 92in across width. Tie ends extend from the side waist and fasten in back. The bodice front inset piece is shirred on each side of the center front covered buttons, which are for eye interest only. An floral eyelet band folds over the bodice edge and finishes it. Shoulder straps are 1.25in wide and extend 14in from front to back. The left side has an 11in zipper adding opening ease. This garment measures 58in from shoulder to hem. The matching short sleeve jacket has a 13in overall length and is constructed from fabric with eyelet flowers. Darts extend vertically from the shoulders to add shaping. It is lined with a slightly deeper toned silky synthetic and is used to enclose all seams of the clutch front garment.
