1940's Womens Pattern
40s -Simplicity Pattern No. 1254- Womens sewing pattern for bolero, skirt and blouse. The slim wrap-around skirt is joined to a waist band. The button-back blouse has a bias-bound neck edge and is finished with waistline tucks. Gathers at blouse neck create soft front fullness. The sleeves may be long or short. In view 1: a soft bow trims the skirt. The long-sleeved bolero is always lined. In view 2: contrasting binding trims the three-quarter sleeves and bolero edges. Lining is optional. The blouse is trimmed with a pert bow at the neck. (envelope is torn)
