1980's Womens Shantung Silk Suit
80s -Union Label- Womens acid washed, rough weave, shantung silk suit, having the faded coloration changes, typical of that process. The lavender blue of the clutch front jacket, has button detailing on each side of front, placed on a very pale lavender trim. Inside is lined with a iris blue silky polyester fabric, as is the skirt and pads give definition to the shoulder area. Princess seams shape the garment and set in longsleeves complete the unit, which measures from the shoulder to the hem. The skirt has a side zipper and hook close, with a button on the band top side. Elastic shapes the back waist. There is a faux side opening, with lower button detailing, with the garment having an overall measurement of 26in. There garment has a an allover pattern of jumbo flowers and leaves, on a deep lavender background and uses the color on the flowers also, which creates a softer blended look.
